One Hit wonders

Some musicians churn out No. 1 hits like it was so easy. But there are others who are "One hit wonders". I have nothing against them because i like the music ,not how many number 1 hits an artiste churns out. As musical taste is diverse, one man's meat is another man's poison. Well, let me share some of my poison with you.

1.I like Baltimora Tarzan Boy so much that I have 3 versions.

About Baltimora
Originating in England during the summer of 1985, the 80's band Baltimora featured a Northern Irish dancer named Jimmy McShane. Although he dominated the focus of the band his songs were written by Maurizio Bassi and Naimy Hackett.
He was welcomed to the United States’ music scene courtesy of EMI records. Baltimora tasted extreme success when EMI released the song “Tarzan Boy”. It peaked at number 13 in early spring 1986. His first full length album was released soon after.

“Tarzan Boy” made another scramble for Baltimora in 1993 when it rose again to number 51, thanks to its appearance in the 1993 movie Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles III. The song also appeared in the 1997 movie Beverly Hills Ninja, featuring Chris Farley, but made no such reentry to the charts.

Jimmy McShane/Baltimora sadly died alone and penniless of Aids on March 29, 1995 at the age of 38.

2. The other hit, albeit one hit is by Black, called "Wonderful Life"
The music is excellent and it really is a very morale boosting song!

About Black aka Colin Vearncombe
Colin Vearncombe, the artist sometimes known as Black, was born in Liverpool on 26 May 1962, in the week that Elvis Presley’s Good Luck Charm was at number one. Like many nascent rock musicians, it was a viewing of Elvis’s movie Jailhouse Rock that fired his youthful imagination and spurred him on to picking up a cricket bat (for a guitar!).

3. Feargal Sharkey "A good heart"
Try listening this song in the wee hours and you can really sense the feeling that Mr Sharkey is trying to put across to us. I really like the lyrics to this song as it really conveys the message that "finding a good heart is heart to find"
