I have been a fan of Record Collector magazine for some time. I don't buy every issue, just those issues that stoke my fire. The magazine is very informative and it caters to different genres on vinyl medium;whether it be jazz, rock, pop, classical. It has different sections such as regular columns such as The Collector(focusing on a record collector), Letters to editor, Digging for Gold (where collectors ask if their piece of record is THE rare piece). Sometimes they feature "top progressive vinyl", other times it might be top 25 Pet Shop collectibles. All in all a nice read!

The other obvious resource is the internet. Robert Benson of has a great book which you can download free here - I can’t recommend it highly enough...
This FREE download details why people collect records, grading vinyl, why vinyl is the best, where to buy collectible records, album cover art history, interviews and much more.
